GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) - After a two-and-a-half week long trial, a Weld County jury Wednesday afternoon convicted an Oklahoma man of a 2015 double homicide.
Jurors deliberated for more than a day and convicted Samuel Pinney, 36, of two counts of First Degree Murder.
Pinney is accused of taking part in a marijuana-smuggling killing that left Joshua Foster and Zach Moore’s bodies, both from Oklahoma, scorched in a flaming truck in rural Weld County on October 17, 2015.
The jury found Pinney guilty of the following charges:
Pinney faces life in prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning at 9:30.
